Research Work (Economic Policy and Financial Market)

Our client – an individual - is a scholar whose research interests are
in the areas of economic policy and financial markets. Due to his very
complex engagements in business will require the services of two
academically-minded research assistants to help him continue with the
pursuit of his research interests. The responsibilities of the
research assistants will be limited to data collection, data analysis,
publications in top academic journals, (including newspaper and online
articles etc) strictly for (on behalf of the principal) and as may be
required and directed by the principal. The selected research
assistants will also be responsible for managing his newly established
pet project called "Policy and Financial Markets Network". These
positions are for a fixed contract period of one year in the first
instance and renewable afterwards. The location of this project is
Lagos. Successful candidates are expected to resume by mid December,
2007 or first week of January 2008.

Qualification Required
The ideal candidates must have bachelors (BSc) and masters (MSc)
degrees one each either in the area of economics or finance or both.
The first degree result must be 21. Any application with performance
lower than a second class upper at the first degree level will not be
accepted for this position. In addition to that, any candidate with a
cumulative grade point average which is below 3.5 points on a 5.0
point scale at the masters degree level will equally be rejected.
Candidates with first class can be considered without a masters degree.

Remuneration
Remuneration in the first year is N480,000 per annum. No further
negotiation on this package is possible. However compensation will be
reviewed after the first year.
